Thomson Gale.
Available online.
This is a new article database for the college and university market, providing broad coverage of most academic disciplines, including social sciences, business and economics, arts and humanities, natural and physical sciences, etc. It includes articles from over 9,000 journals, magazines, and newspapers, of which nearly 7,000 are academic journals, and most are available in full-text formats.
This new database probably makes obsolete the same publisher's Expanded Academic ASAP, at least for W&L researchers.

National Security Archive.
Available online.
The prospects of a Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) in the early 1990’s led China to accelerate its testing schedule and discuss differences within the Russian government over testing, according to documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and archival research by the National Security Archive at George Washington University. The documents illustrate the efforts of the U.S. Intelligence Community to understand developments at Russian and Chinese nuclear test sites from 1990 to 2000.

Intelligence Research, Ltd.
Available online.
News and analysis on contemporary Latin America, published since 1967. The database, which appears to be updated on Tuesdays, is pretty simple to navigate and use. The one possible stumbling block might be the fact that our account allows only one W& user at a time to be logged in to the database -- other logins will be blocked. To avoid this becoming a problem, please remember to log out when you have finished a session.

Cambridge University Press.
Available online.
Published in 2006 as a five-volume set, HSUS is a database of over 37,000 data series (statistical categories) from U.S. and Colonial history. The database also contains extensive essays on the measurements of U.S. history. Data are available as published tables, spreadsheet files (Excel), PDF documents, and custom graphs or charts. This is the first update -- and major expansion -- of a two-volume set published by the U.S. Census Bureau in 1976.
