Library Subscriptions Cuts

I hope you have read Merrily Taylor's April 29 letter about the upcoming 12% reduction in the W&L University Library's subscriptions budget.
In short, this ain't going to be easy. We are working on the situation and have come up with a a first wave of cancellations, which include:

Bibliography of Asian Studies
Brill's New Pauly (print subscription)
Global Books in Print
International Medieval Bibliography (print subscription)
Press Display
Pro and Con Online
Resources for College Libraries
Writers Directory
World of Learning

microfilm subscriptions to:
Business Week
Forbes
New Yorker
Science News

The above gets us about 1/3 of the way to our needed cuts, and the process will get only more difficult. Please be assured that we will consult with you before considering the cancellation of any title which might directly affect you.
Please let me know if you have questions or comments.
