RSS feeds from MathSciNet

I discovered today that MathSciNet is offering RSS feeds for every journal the database covers-you can sibscribe to these feeds and have descriptions and links to new articles from that journal delivered to your newsreader or aggregator.

The feeds are available on the bibliographic information page for each specific journal...why there isn't a master page with links to all of them, I don't know. Go to the journals database and look up the specific journal you are interested in, then click on the "RSS 2.0" link, and cut and paste that URL into your newsreader or aggregator. I don't recommend using the "RSS 1.0" link.

Trial to NewspaperDirect PressDisplay

You guys may or may not want to know about this one-we have a temporary trial set up to Newspaper Direct Pres Display, a database of current general news publications. It's not focused on mathematics, but if you're at all interested in reading national or international news online, you may want to take a look. As always, your comments are welcome.

The trial can be reached here: http://library.wlu.edu/details.asp?resID=748

MathSciNet and WebBridge

Just to let you guys know-WebBridge is now working with MathSciNet. To use it, just go into MathSciNet and do a search as normal, then click on the "Web Bridge" button next to any article and you'll get a menu steering you to the full text of the article if it's available. If it isn't, the menu has links to services like ILL so that you can order it. I am campaigning to get the button changed to say something like "get text" or "find article," but until that happy day...
