         <title>The Great Divide: How Westerners and Muslims View Each Other</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Pew Global Attitudes Project<br />
Available <a href="http://pewglobal.org/reports/pdf/253.pdf">online</a>.<br />
A survey of 14,000 individuals in 13 countries reveals that "most Muslims and Westerners are convinced that relations between them are generally bad these days. Many in the West see Muslims as fanatical, violent, and as lacking tolerance. Meanwhile, Muslims in the Middle East and Asia generally see Westerners as selfish, immoral and greedy - as well as violent and fanatical."<br />

Five-volume set, published in 2006, contains about 1,000 signed entries that "focus on topics in physical/biological anthropology, archaeology, cultural/social anthropology, linguistics, and applied anthropology. Also included are relevant articles on geology, paleontology, biology, evolution, sociology, psychology, philosophy, and theology. "<br />
