That's right. The title is a number-- but a significant one at that. The average Virginian benefiting from food stamps receives only $2.83 per day to spend on food. Imagine buying groceries! The choices are complicated enough without having to consider whether you have enough money to buy milk, vegetables, AND cereal.

Election day is now less than a week away. Across the nation, candidates are battling over the definition of marriage and marriage rights. Virginia isn't about to be left out. For the 2006 election, citizens will have the chance to vote to revise the language of the existing marriage amendment.

This issue, however, might be more complicated than its creators intended. Ambiguous language included in the revised amendment may make it more difficult for some domestic abuse victims to get protection, say some activists. They're asking for a "no" vote, despite what your opinion of marriage might be.

Marriage is one line on the ballot-- and this vlog is just one side of the issue. Voters need to do their homework before they hit the polls. Read about the issues--all the issues---before you contribute to such an important decision. That's your responsiblity to your country, to your state, and to yourself!
