$2.83

Click on Me to hear what I have to say about poverty.

That's right. The title is a number-- but a significant one at that. The average Virginian benefiting from food stamps receives only $2.83 per day to spend on food. Imagine buying groceries! The choices are complicated enough without having to consider whether you have enough money to buy milk, vegetables, AND cereal.

Could you live a life of poverty? Some people have tried by taking on the poverty diet. They're spending three days on a budget of $2.83.

Read about the issues--all the issues---before you contribute to such an important decision. That's your responsiblity to your country, to your state, and to yourself!
