Two New Volumes

There still are some important "reference" works which are available only in printed form (gasp!) and we recently received two which are particularly useful for Journalism and Mass Communications faculty and students.

Mass Communication Law in a Nutshell (6th edition, 2007) is a fairly succinct (600+ pages) overview of the issues listed in the table of contents.

The latest edition of the Associated Press Stylebook (2007) "provides facts and references for reporters, and defines usage, spelling, and grammar for editors. There are separate sections for journalists specializing in sports and business, and complete guidelines for how to write photo captions, file copy over the wire, proofread text, handle copyrights, and avoid libel."

My fingers are crossed for online versions of these titles some time soon.
