Announcements
- 9 PM tomorrow recruitment meeting in Stackhouse theater for all potential new members. If there is even a possibility that you may join a fraternity you should attend.

-New Member education plans should be in by Tuesday, December 1st, email to Clay Coleman

-Beau Dudley spoke to house presidents and a collection of sophomores about new member education

IFC Minutes 9/28/09

Announcements
- Fraternities who have not paid their IFC dues need to get them in soon. Checks are to be made out to the IFC, $5 per member. Give checks to Drew.

-Mixed gender dining October 2nd (this Friday). Fraternities need to give a list of members who plan to attend to Panhellenic by Wednesday.

-Fraternities are advised to look over the new Risk Management Policy and recommend any changes at the next IFC meeting next week.

Announcements
- The GAB is hosting a concert this Saturday the 26th from 2-6 PM in Davidson Park. Mama's Love and Ivan Neville Dump sa Funk are the bands playing.

Greek Housing:
-House managers are responsible for information contained in the Greek Housing information book.
-Pay particular attention to risk management, cleaning policy, and Greek Housing expectations.

-All fraternities need to speak with Paul Burns to assure all houses have completed fire drills by no later than fall break of this year.

Announcements

-Presidents need to pick up housing regulations if they haven't done so already. They can be picked up at Clay Coleman office.

-Next Monday there is a workshop on fraternity housing procedure. President and house manager are required to attend.

-The GAB is throwing a concert on Sept 26 in Davidson Park from 2-6 PM. Habitat for Humanity is selling refreshments.

-With new members living in the houses, fraternities need to be particularly mindful to register parties.

IFC Minutes 10/20/08

ROLL: Sigma Chi absent

ANNOUNCEMENTS

-New date for mixed gender dining on Nov. 7th. Each frat needs to give the number of members that will be present at the lunch at the separate times. The fraternity cooks will NOT have to cook on that day and can be told that they have that lunch off from work.

-The new changes to Rush will be implemented this year. The specifics can be found on the IFC website.

- Halloween Carnival this Sunday from 11:30 to 3:30 in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

IFC Minutes 10/6/08

ANNOUNCEMENTS

-Each fraternity needs to write the IFC a check totaling $10 for each member of your fraternity.

- In light of the weekends events, students are reminded that the Lexington Police are out in force this year with a fully staffed police department. Students are urged to be extra vigilant.

- The Rockbridge Occupational Center is looking for W&L student volunteers. Contact Ruth Parsons at raoc@ntelos.net if you are interested.

IFC Minutes 9/29/08

ROLL: all present

Mixed Gender Dining:this Friday from 11:30 to 1:00 at the sorority houses. Frat cooks do NOT have to go to the sororities.

$10 IFC fee for every member of each fraternity needs to be turned in if it has not been turned in already. Checks made payable to the IFC.

In light of a different schedule for this academic year. Fraternity presidents decided to have the traditional "Christmas Weekend" on Nov 15th-16th.

Greek Summit went very well last Saturday the 27th. Special thanks to all who participated and attended the event.

IFC Minutes 9/22/08

ROLL- all present

-Every fraternity needs to have a representative for the Greek vision council. They meet every Tuesday at 8:30. If you have not already done so, email Tripp Roy the person representing your fraternity.

-Lunch between the fraternities and sororities will be held this Friday. Confirmation letters from all the cooks are needed ASAP. Please send the letters of confirmation to Jackie DiBiase.

-Greek Summit will be held this Saturday from 9:30 to 2:30. Each fraternity needs 3 sophomore delegates to attend. Names should be sent to Clay Coleman.

-Every fraternity needs to send in annual IFC dues. The dues are $10 per member of your fraternity. Checks should be made payable to the IFC.

IFC Minutes 9/15/08

Announcements

-Lieutenant Miller came to speak about recent developments in the Rockbridge Police Department
-Noise permits will now be allowed in the city of Lexington on Wednesdays
-The permits should have at least the president as a signatory but other
frat leaders should sign on as well.

-Habitat for Humanity would like fraternities to buy bulk orders of their Greek directories as a philanthropic donation to Habitat. They would like to hear back from fraternities by September 26th

- Officer lists from every fraternity along with housing corps contact information needs to be sent to Harry Johnson as soon as possible
