Just for you John:
Apparently there is an official "Talk like a Pirate Day" on September 19th...
So some guys at work (including yours truly) decided that it would be fun to go skydiving. One of my co-workers knew a guy named Reed at her last job in Hoboken, New Jerson who was taking a group out. We scheduled to meet up with Reed's group to do the jump. It sounded like a lot of fun.
So our group and the Reed's group were initially going to go 3 weekends ago, but it got rained out. Then we were going to go 2 weekends ago, but that too rained out. Reed's group was free every weekend, but we had conflicts through mid-October.
So Reed's group appearantly got a little bit agitated that we weren't able to go until October, so they told us that they were going to go ahead and do it without us. They went on Sunday.
And then, this happened.
Recently I had the pleasure of deleting all of the spam that had been collecting on this blog. Oh what fun....With over 2k comments, I decided that the most prudent thing would be to unspam my one comment (which is what caused me to do this in the first place...) and delete all the rest of it that had been marked by spam...As for the published comments, I've deleted what I believe are most of the spam messages.
Now this brings up a good point, why isn't movabletype implementing CAPTCHA? Well, it supposedly has a good spam recognizer, but then again, how was my comment flagged as spam while several other inappropriate ones with a variety of very interesting websites with probably are NSF get through? Who knows....
I do know that there is a better spam plugin for this, but until someone installs that, I guess we'll just have to do with what we have. If in the meantime, you see some comments that are clearly spam, just let me know.....
Pictures of the New helpdesk of power
The Help Desk is the Help Desk now. We have moved to Leyburn. Thirty percent bigger, huge windows, great view, flat panels, precision workstations (slightly used), new furniture, headsets, a free hot lunch everyday at noon and beer for the workers after 5:00. It almost makes me feel responsible to the customers. By golly we must be important. Pictures to follow, but better yet come by and visit.
Sorry for the long lack of posts, but we are back now.
