Oh Happiness beyond compare
The Canadian Film Board (God Bless them) has published 50 animated shorts on their webpage. These are wonderful. http://www.nfb.ca/animation/objanim/en/films/index.php
Now you know what I am going to do this summer.

Some of you may remember the young lady who came into the HD a couple of years ago with the t y g & h keys melted and disfigured on her D800 (I believe). She told us that dell knew about the problem (a malfunctioning video card) and that they had a new computer in the mail to her. I guess this is what happens when the computer gets really hot.
While building The Pirate Play Structure of my Dreams for my wee mites (and myself) the other day I made a miscalculation (see the diagram in the link below) while getting down and the result was some torn cartilage in the left front part of my chest.

The Motrin and Vicodin are aiding in my recovery, and actually I feel quite lucky about the whole incident, but I have had to face some unpleasant truths about myself.
1st. I can't stand laying around. Even with a good book and fairly decent painkillers it drives me nuts not to be doing work while the sun is shining. I have been trying to think up a way to proceed with my projects without doing heavy lifting or using dangerous machinery, and to my great sadness I can think of nothing. I did try to get the wee mites to work in concert to cut wood on the table saw yesterday but they cried when they heard the loud noise that the saw makes.
2nd. I have been a judgmental jerk about people with chronic pain. Every time I hear about people with chronic pain I think "What sissies! A little pain never prevented me from doing anything!" This is true, but a lot of pain will prevent you from doing everything, including shaving, which I haven't done in days despite the fact that it doesn't hurt to do it at all. Thank god my pain will go away in a few days. I am sorry to all you chronic pain sufferers.
3rd. As I age my upper body is getting weaker while my lower body is getting heaver. Who would have thought that I age too. Amazing!
I had to break it to everybody, but Ninjas of the Caribbean is a much better title. Of course you should also check out the "Ninternships" and "Ninja Excuses" as well..
