Well, I guess the time has finally come. It looks as though the owner of the illustrious www.facebook.com will be selling his company. Granted, he was offered 750 million and turned it down. But, this is not because he actually cares about what he does, or the incredibly personal information that is kept on the website. Nope. It's simply because he feels that the company is worth, get this, $2,000,000,000. Thats right. 2 BILLION dollars. As much nonsense as this is, he will most likely be offered some amount of money close to this amount at some point in the near future.
Therefore, I will soon be removing my profile and all of my perosnal information from www.facebook.com. I, for one, do not want my personal information ending up in the hands of any company willing to pay that much for a website like that. There is only one reason they would pay such a ridiculous amount, and thats because they felt that they can use the information on the site to generate a profit. Therefore, in my act of defiance... they will not be getting my information.
Ha HA!!
This occurred to me last night as I was telling my children their bedtime story. I will have a life long affect on my children and their ideas about the world. If I repeatedly tell my children that they should put the fork on the right hand side when they set the table they will always think this is the right way to do it. In short I wield amazing power with these to future consumers. So as of today you can purchase placement ads in my day to day interactions with my children. Who's to say that little Red Ridinghood's grandmother did not sleep on a Sealy Posturepedic bed? I can hear myself now on a family camping trip "Son go in to the REI tent and get the Coleman brand camp lantern. Ya know when I was a boy my dad always preferred Coleman products and I do too." Sure my kids would eventually stop listening to the ads in the same way that you stop listening to the commercials, but that doesn’t mean they would have less of an effect. So if you've got a product that you want to sell that is appropriate for family discussions just send me an email. Rates will be based on frequency of placement and the amount of enthusiasm you expect me to exhibit.
It took me nearly 2 years but I made it. I am now a System Administrator. ^_^

Now I understand why he came to visit on monday, showing solidarity with his peeps, but by Tuesday they were no longer his peeps, so we can all give a big cheer for the clear vision and intelligence of the INS. Hooray for the Red White and Blue (and green).
Okay, anybody who wants to develop this idea it is yours, but when you make $100,000,000 please send me money because I will be unemployed.
First, solid state hard drives, two in every computer, one for the OS and one for the data. Write the OS so data can not be writen to the OS and system files can not be written to the data drive.
Second, a reset button, press the button and reset the OS to factory settings. Have the OS set up so it requires updates to be run before the user can initialize applications.
Alright who remember that flash commercial Jit show on that big Apple flat screen? Yeah the Perpendicular Bit commercial, well let's welcome the first perpendicular bit hard drive
