Standing in my kitchen on Sunday night washing the dishes I was frightened to discover "The song that never ends" playing through my head over and over again like some strange Abu Ghraib prison torture, and I realized that, despite my great joy that the Quackdaddy is now a productive member of society, I miss his happy-go-lucky presence in the Help Desk. I miss his insults, his politically incorrect remarks, and his annoying rightwing banter. It is true what they say about prisoners missing prison once they are released. I guess I need to do some recruiting at the libertarian party meetings.
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to wish everybody a happy thanksgiving. I hope everyone eats atleast their body weight in food over the break. If you don't, I will be very disappointed.
In any case, this is not an excuse to forget about the Help Desk! If you get bored, just remember that you could be backing up data and Ghosting machines in the Help Desk!
Hehe

Now this is an academic question so don't get all in a knot, but as an attendee at this user service conference I have heard the opinion that students should be made to pay something for virus/spyware removal so the trouble they have caused themselves and us might register in some level of their brain below the level at which they plan what to have for dinner. I have always felt that the $35,000 that they pay at the door should cover all Help Desk support (including data deletion), but the opportunity to punish people is also appealing.
I don't imagine any of you have an opinion on this.
OK folks...y'all broke my blog posting client when ya upgraded to MT 3.2. Moved the URL for XML-RPC posting you did... But I found it here: http://bloggery.wlu.edu/mt/mt-xmlrpc.cgi Unfortunately...twould seem the permissions are wrong on this file. All very annoying.
