I just want to doublecheck my recollection of friday's instructions. It is ok to go over 3 pages on a particular essay provided that the sum total is less than 12 pages doublespace? Thanks.
Uh, nope. The max for EACH essay is 3pp. The goal is to be as concise as possible. I recommend going back through the essay and try to revise any wordy language. When revising my own rough drafts, I find that a given sentence can be said with fewer words. Also, check for sentences that more or less repeat the previous sentence in some way -- you may be able to combine sentences with fewer words.
Margins can be as little as one inch all around, and the font should be no smaller than Times 12pt or Arial 10 pt.
For question # 5, on the role of memes, should we be using some outside articles for our textual based evidence? I could be wrong, but I don't remember reading anything about memes, just watching the segment in the video about them.
Well memes are synonymous with culture, so you could reference any of the nontext (or textbook) readings that speak to cultural influences on evolution.
Does our own question have to be about something that we have addressed in class, or can we discuss something that maybe hasn't had a chance to come up but we find very interesting?
